360 degrees of art is a boutique art consulting and advising firm that provides comprehensive art advisory services for individuals, corporations, not-for-profits, and the private sector. Our purpose is to take the guesswork out of sourcing, purchasing and valuating art.
As a boutique firm we are able to provide our clients with personalized creative strategies that fulfill a wide range of artistic and financial goals. Biographies
Michele LaRocco
Founder & Managing Director, Houston
Although a native Texan, Michele moved to London, England after graduating from the University of Houston (Magna Cum Laude) with degrees in both Communications and Art History. While in London, Michele earned a Master’s degree in Art History (graduating Suma Cum Laude) from Richmond the American International University, as well as a Master’s degree in Art Business (graduating with Merit) from the renowned Sotheby’s Institute of Art.
During her career, Michele has worked for the National Gallery in London, as well as the Museum of Fine Arts Houston (MFAH) Education Department. Michele has published articles both in England and the Untied States, as well as produced educational material for the MFAH’s Education Department. Aside from managing the daily operations at 360 degrees of art, Michele is also a professor of Art History and Art Appreciation at Houston Community College.
While art has always been a passion of Michele’s, she realizes it can be an intimidating and confusing subject for many people. Michele’s goal is to alleviate the confusion by utilizing her experience to educate artists and collectors alike on the many nuances of the art world and market.
Katharine Albritton
Contributor, New York
Katharine is a writer, editor, and art market specialist who is fond of history, languages, and art. She has a Bachelor’s of Science in Foreign Service with a concentration in International History from Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service, giving her a unique perspective on the art world.
While studying abroad in Paris at the Sorbonne, Katharine realized the passion she had for art history and decided to pursue a career in the arts, receiving a Master’s degree in Art Business (graduating with Merit) from the renowned Sotheby’s Institute of Art in London. Katharine’s specialty is the Japanese contemporary art market and her dissertation on the subject received a Distinction.
Katharine currently lives in New York City where she works as an editorial assistant and arts journalist. You can find many of her articles in The Art Newspaper and read more about her thoughts on the art market at her Art Market Musings blog.
Karen Witczak
Contributor, Berlin
Karen was born into the arts, with an artist father, and has been developing her love and passion for the arts ever since. As such, Karen is an avid collector and photographer, as well as an intrepid explorer of art galleries and art fairs, both big and small.
Therefore, it’s not surprising that Karen has spent her life traveling the world, living in 40 different countries and developing professional experiences in sales, consulting, government diplomacy and education. Since 2007, Karen has resided in New York City, working in the arts and pursuing a Master’s degree in Art Business (graduating with Distinction) from the renowned Sotheby’s Institute of Art in New York City.
Karen, a published author, has written articles on the Barnes Foundation controversy in the New York State Bar Association’s Entertainment, Arts, and Sports Law Journal, as well as articles regarding the 2008 Ocean Liner Exhibition at the South Street Seaport Museum in Seaport, New York’s History Magazine.
